THE CHURCH IN THE BIBLE

I . Are You The One Or Do We Look For Another ? Mt 11: 3
   A. John was the forerunner of the Lord and before
he died he wanted to be SURE Jesus was the " genuine " one
   B. Close , when it comes to serving God , is not
the safe course ( e.g. Naaman the Leper
II Kings 5 ; working in the Lord's name but not according to his will Mt 7:21 )

II. Each Christian Should Be A Seeker
   A. Each seeker continues to study and constantly strive to be SURE they are in the will of the Lord  
Acts 17:11
   B. Attributes of a seeker
      i) they are looking for help Mt 15:25
      ii) they are looking for hope Ron 12:12
      iii) they are looking for a home on this earth and in Heaven  Is 55:6-7 ; Mt 13: 45
      iv) they are looking for a sure walk with their Lord

III. The Church Today Must Look And Act The Way
The Lord Established It
   A. There was one Church in the Bible Mt  16:18 ; Acts 2:47
   B. Before the Apostle Paul died he said soon after his death men would divide the Church Act 20:28
   C. Paul condemned the division of the Church I Cor. 1 : 11 - 14
   D. We must follow the pattern of the church in the New Testament to be SURE we are in his will
