JESUS' KINGDOM IS HIS CHURCH

I .  Patriarchal Period
   A. Jesus is coming to pay the price for sin ( Gen 3:15 )
   B. God told the head of the family what they were to do
   C. To be blessed the people had to do exactly how God told them
( e.g. Noah did all that God commanded Gen 6:22 )
   D. God was very prescriptive regarding worship
( e.g. Cain & Able Gen 4: 1-4 & Heb 11:4 )

II. Mosaic Period
   A. Jesus will build his kingdom ( Dan 2:44 )
   B. God spoke to the Israelites through the Law of Moses
   C. To be blessed the people had to do exactly how God told them
( e.g. Moses built the Tabernacle as God commanded  Ex. 39:32 )
   D. God was very prescriptive regarding worship
( e.g. Nadab & Abihu Lev 10:1-2 )

III. Jesus' Kingdom & Church
   A. He said he would build his church and he said he would have a kingdom
Mt 16:16-18
   B. Jesus said the Kingdom is at hand ( Mk 1:15 )
   C. Jesus said some were living that would not die before the Kingdom came
( Mk 9:1 )
   D. To be a member of the Kingdom you must be born of the water
( baptism ) and spirit ( Jn 3:5 )
   E. Paul said that the Kingdom had come in his lifetime ( Col 1:13 )
   F. The Church began in Acts on the Day of Pentecost ( Acts 2:47 )
   G. To be a member of the church we must repent band be baptized
( Acts 2:38 )
   H. Either Jesus established TWO organizations at the same time with the
same entrance requirements or the Kingdom is his Church for which he
died ( Acts 20;28)  ; we must glorify Jesus in the Church ( Eph 3:21 )
