THE TEMPLE OF DOOM  
Judges 16: 21-31

I. The Lesson Begins At Samson's Lowest Point
   A. When Delilah wakes him after cutting his hair - the Philistines are upon you - Samson said
'”I will go out”
   B. Many times the scripture said “the Spirit of the Lord came upon him "
   C. Now “he did not know the Lord had departed from him "
   D. They put out his eyes and bound him to a grinding mill

II. The Price Of Sin
   A. Him to be blind, he was bound, and forced to grind - it does the same to us today!
   B. Why he fell so far - Gal 6: 7 what we sow we will reap
      i) he did what was right in his own eyes
      ii) he followed the lust in his eyes
      iii) he chose women that God had forbidden
      iv) his eyes would never lust again
   C. There was a time lag between sowing and reaping

III.  Samson's Redemption
   A. In prison his hair began to grow
   B. His heart was changing - I Jn 1:9 if we confess our sins he is just to forgive us
   C. When God forgives he does not always restore that which was lost - his sight was not returned
   D. The Philistines brought him to their temple and ridiculed him and his God- he performed for them
   E. The building was filled - 3000 on the roof
   F. After he performed he asked to lean on the two pillars that held up the roof
   G. His second and last prayer was for God to give him strength to destroy his enemies
   H. His enemies heard him pray and mocked until the building collapsed killing more than in all his battles
   I. His people came and buried him with his Father and God called him a hero Heb 11 : 32
