 NEWS AND PRAYER  REQUESTS 

TIM GEORGE UPDATE: I have no new update but Ron and Margaret should be here this morning and I'm sure we can get an up to the minute update from Ron. Please keep praying that Tim continues to make excellent progress and thank the Lord for the great progress thus far.UPDATE ON DEMAREE FAMILY: LUELLEN NORRIS Mike Mother had emergency surgery last weekend to remove another large section of her colon due to a blockage. She had surgery a few weeks ago to remove a malignant section of her colon. She is out of ICU and off the ventilator but is still extremely ill; the family is requesting no visitors for her in the hospital just yet due to the seriousness of her illness. Mike's sister Jeanette and Mike and Vivian's son were here for the week to help out. Please keep the Demaree's in prayer as they cope with his and her parents illnesses. Mike's Dad is in a rehab center showing no improvement; ORVILLE DANIELSON , Vivian's Dad has dementia and is not showing any improvement. They need lots of prayers and moral support.
LIL SULLIVAN, John's Mother, is having some health issues and need our prayers.
TAMARA CUNY needs prayers for health concerns as she is undergoing numerous tests and facing possible surgery. Please pray for favorable test results and for her doctors. Take the time to get to know and encourage Tamara as she goes through these difficult times.
BRENDA BIESCHKE is looking for a room to rent; if you have a room to rent or know of one that is available please contact her at 310-600-6419. She needs to move from her present residence the first week in December.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP IN PRAYER: ED DEMAREE , and needs prayers for healing; PATRICIA COBB , Daryl Cobb's sister, who heart problems and MARIE TOLBERTSON , Duane's Mother healing from a fall.

SYMPATHY NOTE: We extend our sympathy to the family of ART GONZALES, Des Moines , IA , son-in-law of Carmen Cisneros who lost his battle with Cancer on Monday November 24 th 2008.MEMORIAL SERVICE: the family of GLORIA LARSON will hold a private Memorial Service on Thursday Dec. 4, 2008 in her memory; her ashes will be scattered at sea. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family at this time.

WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY . We are on Lesson 10 in the Study of the book of 2nd Corinthians.. A video presentation by Abe Lincoln will be followed by a summary and class discussion. Instructor will be Leroy Smith, at 7 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
Elders, Deacons , Ministers and Teachers will meet on Sat., December 6 at 9 AM. If you have any suggestions you would like to have addressed at the meeting, please put them in the wooden box on the table in the foyer.
The next Ladies Study Group will meet Tues, December 09 th at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.  All Ladies are encouraged to attend these enriching lessons led by Tricia Cobb and Betty Randolph.
The Third Saturday Monthly Singing for December will be held here at Melrose , Sat. December 20th at 6:00 pm.  Everyone is invited to participate in the singing of Seasonal Songs with other congregations in the area. Holiday refreshments will be served following the song service.
There will be a WEDDING SHOWER f or YOHAN and LINDA RASMUSSEN on Sat. December 4th, 10:30 AM in the home of Tricia Cobb. See Tricia or Gracelyn Hobbs for further info or pick up a flyer in the foyer.
